The Farmer's Market of Keene is excited to offer the Granite State Market Match program! Through this program the market is able to match food stamp funds with out a cap per costumer per market.
How does the program work?
A SNAP recipient presents their EBT card at the market's information booth and indicates how much of their food stamp funds they would like to use at the market. The customer then receives a token
for each dollar for their food stamp funds plus an extra match token per dollar.
Spend $1 on your EBT card and get $2 in tokens!
What can the tokens be used to purchased?
The SNAP (red) tokens are valid for any products that can be purchased by SNAP benefits. At the market this includes fruits, vegetables, meat, milk, bread, and more! The benefits will even cover herb and vegetable starter plants. The Market Match (green) tokens can be used for unaltered fruits and vegetables, legumes, seeds, herbs, and seedlings. Staff and volunteers at the market info booth can answer any questions.
When and where can the tokens be used?
The tokens can only be used at the Keene market, but never expire.
How much funds can be allocated to a single customer?
One customer can receive as much Market Match funds per market as they are willing to spend. Keene has one market per week for the summer season (April through October).
How does someone get started?
No registration is needed. If you or someone you know would be interested in using the program, just come to the info booth at the market and an employee or volunteer would be happy to answer any questions.
